Breaking New Grounds: iRewind’s Trailblazing Personalized Video Service at Riyadh’s Marathon

For the first time outside the Advanced Europe and Baltics (AEB) region, we are expanding the success story woven through Europe’s landscapes to the vibrant heart of Riyadh, marking the first major marathon in the region to offer personalized videos to its participants.

The Riyadh Marathon, an event that symbolizes both endurance and unity, will be the first of its kind in the region to provide runners with an individualized digital keepsake – a testament to their perseverance and dedication. This initiative is not just a first for the marathon but a groundbreaking step for the region, showcasing the power of innovation in enhancing sports experiences.

Our journey to Riyadh was made possible through a robust collaboration with Race Arabia, our esteemed partners in the region. Race Arabia has been instrumental in introducing our cutting-edge solution and technology to the local sports scene, having already successfully implemented it at several trail races. Their expertise and local knowledge have been invaluable in adapting our service to the unique fabric of Middle Eastern sports culture.

In Riyadh, we are excited to deliver our special social media format videos. These videos, captured at the finish line in a portrait/reels format, are tailor-made for sharing on platforms like Instagram and TikTok. Designed to capture the essence of achievement and celebration, these videos will be delivered live, ensuring that participants can share their triumphant moments almost instantaneously. Our record for delivering these personalized memories is an impressive 2 minutes and 48 seconds – a benchmark we aim to surpass in Riyadh.

This venture is a collective effort, supported by the Saudi Sports for All Federation, Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO), and ASICS. Together, we are bringing an unprecedented digital service to the runners of the marathon, half-marathon, 10KM, and 4KM races. This collaboration underscores our shared commitment to enhancing the participant experience through innovative digital solutions.

We are equally excited to work closely with our colleagues and partners from Race Arabia, whose team will play a crucial role in our implementation efforts for the Riyadh marathon. This collaboration is not just about implementing a service; it’s about building lasting relationships and learning from one another to deliver the best possible experience to the participants.

On10th of February, we were set to create and deliver unforgettable memories for 20,000 participants. Each runner’s effort, sweat, and determination will be encapsulated in a personalized video, serving as a digital memento of their achievement.
